It seems like I just get settled, then I have to go and uproot myself all over again. Maybe it's a psychosis or something...

We've just moved again! Shorter distance this time: one side of Christchurch to the other, rather than intercontinental. So now I'm playing un-pack man again, with another house full of boxes, only this one's mine.

Yep, bought this house, so the move here is kinda starting to look at least a little permanent. It was touch-and-go there for a while, but buying a house tends to force you into a feeling of commitment. Nice house, too. Been a lot nicer since we put in what the New Zealanders call a 'Heat Pump', but I keep referring to as a reverse-cycle air conditioner. Either way, nice and warm now.

Bought a new TV to keep us company, too, since out friends-base is still somewhat limited. 50" plasma. Very nice. Cheap price and 3 years interest free! Doesn't exactly replace all the wonderful friends I left behind, but at least it stops me moping about them so much.

Now I just need to find someone to point a camera at...
